Teacher Portfolio

I am thrilled to be a teacher in the future and want to create the best learning environment for my students. I want them to feel safe and comfortable so they are able to achieve their highest potential. I don't believe in a one size fits all teaching approach. Each student has their own individual strengths and weaknesses that should be acknowledged, nurtured,and improved upon.

My classroom will be a safe place for students to share their thoughts and ask questions without feeling judged. Creating a comfortable learning environment is so important to me because when I was growing up I was shy in the classroom and often felt nervous and scared to get help. Many times my struggles were over looked and I got further behind in school. To prevent this from happening in my future classroom, it is important I build a strong relationship with each of my students. I also believe it is important to teach students to care about and support one another in school. Teaching students about bullying prevention, and practicing good virtues in the classroom everyday will create a better environment for learning and create a safer classroom and teach them valuable lessons they can take with them in the future.
